We understand that not all clients have the same needs when it comes to financial planning, which is why we offer different levels of service for our private clients.
Our three service standards have been created with our clients in mind and are focused around their differing needs as well as the size and complexity of their portfolio.
You can be assured that no matter what the Service Standard, we will provide you with the minimum level of excellence set out in our Client Charter.
What else can I expect from my Service Standard?
Qualified support staff
Our client support team are the core of our business. We believe that investing in their training, qualifications and development is essential in order to provide our clients with the best service possible. We are proud to have held the Investors in People award since 1999.
Only the best technology will do
There is no black art to financial planning, but technology does play a part in what we do. We use a mass of software to assist us in providing tailored advice to our clients, including sophisticated cashflow modelling software that can help clients better visualise their financial future.
Sometimes trying to get through to financial institutions can be like trying to discover a secret password. When you call us there won’t be any obstacles; your call will be answered quickly by one of our helpful and friendly receptionists here in our Kendal office. Our ongoing service includes unlimited telephone calls to your planner and their support team all year round.
Working with other professionals
We work directly with your other professional advisors when appropriate - for example, we'll liaise directly with your solicitor when helping set up a trust fund or deal with your accountant to check on tax issues affecting your investments. This ensures you get a truly personal service with no hassle or time wasted interpreting different advice.
Regular review meetings
Clients tell us that this individual face-to-face time spent with their planner is the most valuable part of the service we provide. We will use these meetings to review your circumstances and ensure that your financial plan is keeping you on the right path to achieving your goals. Dependent on your Service Standard, we will hold a formal review meeting at least once a year.
Keeping you in the know
Financial legislation is constantly changing. We like to pass on our knowledge keep you up-to-date with changes that might affect you through the regular seminars and workshops we hold for clients, businesses and professional connections.
How we charge
We believe in fairness and transparency when it comes to our fees. We will explain these fully during the Discovery Meeting and subsequently at the various stages of our planning process. We will also confirm these in writing in your Service Agreement, which you will receive at the outset.
Our fees are based on the nature and complexity of the services you require and the amount of funds we manage on your behalf.
||When you become a client we will produce a financial plan containing all our research and advice. There will be a set fee for this. You will not need to pay this fee again unless you require advice on a different area that is not covered within your initial financial plan.
||Should there be anything to arrange or any financial products to implement, there will be a charge based on the investment amount or premium.
||This covers our ongoing service and enables us to review your plan and provide assistance and guidance all year round.
||We have a menu of fixed fees for specific projects that you may need us to undertake on an ad-hoc basis.
