At FMB we have been working with businesses since we opened in 1987. Some of our earliest clients were quite large employers across the north who trusted the expertise of founder Les Beavis. Les had an in-depth knowledge of pensions dating back to his time at Provincial Insurance and Prolific Life and Pensions (which was bought by Scottish Provident in 1992).
Currently we manage group schemes for several large and many smaller companies. One of our most interesting stories is a large manufacturing plant in the Midlands whose final salary pension fund we look after. Les worked with Marlborough Fund Managers to create a specially managed fund run by Richard Dawson, Regional Director of Rathbones, based at their Kendal office.
Naturally many of our more local clients are in the hospitality industry which does include several hotels, however, we also have numerous garages, manufacturers, professional services, retail outlets and charities under our wing too.
