Jen Pearson, Client Services Assistant at FMB, is a keen rider and worked in a racing yard before taking up her post here. As a student at Leeds University Jen captained the equestrian team and rode for Great Britain.

Jen has been  asked to ride in a Charity Race at Kelso Racecourse on 27th May 2012. There will be 12 Lady riders lining up for the 1m 6 furlong race including Jen.

The aim of this race is to raise money for The Injured Jockeys Fund, who are currently focusing on building a new rehabilitation centre for both injured jockeys and for people employed within racing.

This is a charity close to Jen's heart as one of her best friends was seriously injured in a fall 2 years ago. She is now back race riding as an amateur jockey, proof that this charity works!

Jen needs to raise £700 for the charity to take part, she is halfway but needs more support. If anyone would like to support the charity please log onto Jen's "Just Giving" page below. In return she may give you some good betting tips for the race!!
