We held our first (hopefully of many) client lunches on Friday, here at our offices at Shenstone. Although many of our clients have enjoyed hearing Fund Managers and Industry “experts” speak at our previous seminars, we decided that a more personal, informal lunch would be a welcome change - and we were right! We had no problems persuading our guests to join us!
Since undergoing a brand overhaul earlier in the year, we wanted to make use of our newly refurbished conference room. This also gave our guests the chance to meet the team and see what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ here at FMB.
After a brief introduction, we tucked into a traditional buffet and those fortunate enough not to be designated driver were also able to enjoy a glass or two of wine. Our in-house Chief Investment Officer, Richard Hancock, spoke briefly about how equities have been performing over the last ten years which raised some interesting questions on the floor.
We thoroughly enjoyed being able to socialise with our clients on a more personal level and one guest commented on how good it was to meet other like-minded people with the same worries and concerns. It has been especially rewarding to have received several phone calls since the event from some of those who attended to say how much they enjoyed the lunch.
We will be holding our lunches regularly, so over time we will be able to invite all of our Financial Planning clients. Look out for our seminars which will continue to take place as we appreciate many people still enjoy those too.
