Saturday’s Charity Beer Festival was supported by nearly 200 people who came to sample the local beers and listen to some cracking local music. We were really pleased and surprised by the excellent turnout and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to enjoy the night, as well as all those who helped make it such a success.
We raised a staggering £3,180.60 from the event, taking our total raised so far to £4,216.46. This has definitely got us a big step closer to our target of £11,520 that we are aiming to raise for South Lakeland Hydrotherapy Trust for our year of fundraising.
The ‘Spit n Crackle’ hog roast and local ales from Unsworth’s Yard and Old School Breweries went down well and with the weather on our side, people were even able to enjoy a bite to eat and a few drinks outside by the marquee area.
The live local music was a big hit and we heard some amazing covers as well as original tracks from the extremely talented Sean Moore, Kev Kendal and Ben Dyson who really got the atmosphere buzzing. The night was finished off with a two hour set from local cover band, Lynchpin, who managed to entice people to the dancefloor.
The pictures from the night are now up on our Facebook page, so please get tagging. If you are not on Facebook, click here to view. We would be grateful if you could 'like' our page while you're there and keep up to date on our fundraising news and upcoming events.
A big thank you again to all our sponsors, who made it possible for EVERY SINGLE POUND raised to go to the charity; Barclays, Rathbones, Henderson, Cofunds, Skandia, Old Mutual, Downing, Saltus, GAM, Aviva, Fidelity, Threadneedle, Investec Structured Products, LV, Pictet, Premier, Prudential & City Financial.
