We have recently teamed up with Sunny Brow Nursery in Kendal to promote the benefits of financial planning to families with young children. Life insurance went out of fashion for a while but we still believe the first layer of financial planning should start with making sure your family is protected.
FMB is a local family run firm and has been providing solid financial advice for 26 years. Part of our philosophy is to support and promote other likeminded local businesses. Sunny Brow was established around the same time as FMB, Peter and Val Graveson took it over in 2003. The nursery is situated in the conservation area up above Kendal town centre, just off Underbarrow Road and is housed in a light and airy beautiful Victorian property with large secluded gardens.
They offer care for children from 3 months until they leave for school from 8am until 5.45pm and even run a holiday club throughout all school holidays for children of all ages. Visit their website for further information.
Sunny Brow is also a family business. Peter, Val and Adam their son, are very hands on and are always in and around the nursery. The Graveson’s have been kind enough to promote FMB’s services on their newsletters to parents. They share our view that everyone should be covered for any eventuality that might leave the family unable to pay the mortgage and bills. One of our independent financial planners, Louise Phillips, is offering a free initial consultation for Sunny Brow families to help them discover what kind of cover they need. Having children brings so many responsibilities, some that I never even considered – it’s surprising what can keep you awake at night. As a parent I often think about what would happen if I was unable to work or look after the children, at least having some insurance in place and knowing my family would at least be financially secure is one less thing to worry about! Certainly, after my second child and the move to a larger house I was prompted into getting something in place, it’s quite common at this point for people to forget about additional cover. Louise can also check any existing policy to make sure it is adequate for your current needs. If you’ve had your insurance a while or took it out with your mortgage provider, it may be that she can get a more competitive quote so please do not hesitate to e-mail her or give her a quick call. It’s one of those jobs you might wish you hadn’t left until tomorrow..
