Inspired by his technical expertise, FMB’s founder, Les Beavis, set out to make a difference for local self-employed people. Back in the 80s, financial services were often limited to big banks and pensions were just for executives. Les wanted to change that, and in 1987, from a small office in Endmoor, FMB was established.
The company quickly grew, and by 1997, we opened a second office in Lancaster. In 2002, we brought everyone together under one roof at Shenstone House, on the outskirts of Kendal, where we’re still based today.
