Roger Jackson our Financial Planning Manager has been promoted to the board of the company, a fantastic achievement considering he joined straight from school ten years ago. Roger, married with two children, joined the company, based at Shenstone House, Helsington, after taking his A-levels at Dallam School, Milnthorpe, instead of taking a place he was offered at university.
He recently gained his second set of higher level qualifications in financial planning becoming a Chartered Financial Planner as well as a Certified Financial Planning Professional.
He takes over the role of Director of Financial Planning and will now contribute to the strategic development of FMB, which employs 30 people.
Over his years with FMB Roger has worked in many roles to gain a broad understanding of financial services as well as overseeing the professional development of other colleagues.
Roger, who lives in Arnside, also volunteers as a Trustee at South Lakes Carers which has given him further insight to how other organisations work and expand his skills, as well as give something back to our community, said Ruth Power, director of Business Development at FMB.
Liz Beavis, MD at Financial Management Bureau; “Roger has always understood what we are trying to achieve here at FMB and the kind of company we want to create. His positive problem solving skills and calm, pragmatic manner make him a valuable addition to our board. As well as being an outstanding Financial Planner, Roger has the values of loyalty, honesty and integrity that make it a pleasure to work with him.”
Financial advice firm, FMB, was set up 1987 by Les Beavis, who died in 2008. Sisters Ruth and Liz are his daughters.
