We are delighted to share the exciting news that our Director of Financial Planning, Roger Jackson, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Personal Finance Society (PFS).
Roger’s appointment to the PFS Board comes 18 months after he joined the Board of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), which is the parent organisation of the PFS. In December, he was invited to take on this additional role to help create a stronger connection between the two boards. His practitioner-led approach will provide a valuable member lens on the needs, expectations and challenges facing financial planning professionals today.
By serving across both boards, Roger hopes to support even closer collaboration between the organisations and to help ensure that member interests remain firmly at the heart of strategic decision-making.
On a personal level, Roger sees this as one of the most significant honours of his professional career. The CII represents more than 120,000 members, with around 40,000 belonging to the PFS, which is the largest professional body for financial planners and personal finance professionals in the United Kingdom. His new position offers the opportunity to help shape the future of the profession at a strategic level.
Roger said, “I am delighted to have joined the PFS Board and am looking forward to driving our wonderful profession forward alongside so many other talented individuals. I am immensely proud that stakeholders and members alike consider me a fitting appointment to both boards.”
We could not be prouder of Roger and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will continue to make on behalf of our profession and its members.
