Following on from the most significant Autumn Budget Statement in years, Rachel Reeves has returned to the dispatch box this week to announce her plans for the next six months.

Typically, the Spring Statement has not been a "budget", it usually serves as an update in light of economic forecasts. However, given the news that the economy has slightly contracted the Chancellor was always going to be under pressure to make further savings.
