Pension Transfer Workshop

Event for professional connections

FMB Offices, Shenstone House, Kendal

We want to make sure you are in the best position to spot any detrimental actions your clients might be thinking of taking before it's too late.

You need to know the basics so you can counter any potential misinformation a client might have, or spot an opportunity for the right person. It's very easy for people to get swept up on a bandwagon in a workplace when large sums of money are being bandied about. Many of the Tata pension transfers were done on behalf of ex-employees who had not worked there for many years but it's amazing how quickly news gets around networks of friends.

So many people in the UK have worked for an employer at some point in their career who offered a defined benefit scheme. They might be self-employed now or in a defined contribution scheme, but what might be best advice for their friend, isn't necessarily right for them.

You could be the person they trust who steers them towards good advice.

Come and hear Roger Jackson (who is a Certified Financial Planner and holds advanced pensions exam AF3) explain what the pros and cons are and answer any questions you might have. He has devised, in conjuction with FMB colleagues, a policy and process to ensure we deliver best practice on this area of advice.
